Case 1: Ca Rectum


Case History:

41-year-old male staging workup for Carcinoma rectum.


Findings:


Sections at the level of pelvis show FDG avid enhancing asymmetrical wall thickening involving the rectum with perirectal fat infiltration (white arrow) (A-D) and enlarged avid peri rectal nodes (arrowhead). The planes with the pelvic floor muscles are intact.


Case 2: Ca Sigmoid Colon With Nodal Metastasis


Case History:

59 year old male with altered bowel habits and weight loss

Findings:

Sections at the level of lower abdomen and pelvis showing metabolically active enhancing circumferential thickening in the proximal sigmoid colon(A) with peri-colonic infiltration and a discrete avid enlarged mesenteric node and another discrete centimeter size mesenteric node lying just above the aortic bifurcation consistent With Ca Sigmoid Colon With Nodal Metastasis.
