49 year old female c/o malignant glioma post-op/RT with suspected recurrence
Axial sections of the brain show bilateral frontal subdural collection with mild diffuse dural enhancement (red arrows). Heterogeneously enhancing lesion (white arrows) is seen along the posteroinferior margin of the post operated bed (B) and with mildly increased perfusion(C) with mildly increased Cho: Cr ratio on MRS (D, arrowhead). There is no significant FDG uptake within the mass on FDG PET/MRI (E) fused images but focal increased FET uptake is seen (F, arrow) indicating tumor recurrence.
This short PET-MRI Scan case was compiled by Dr. Sangeeta Taneja and Dr. Amarnath Jena (Nuclear Medicine Physician at PET-Suite @ Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Sarita Vihar).
