Case Study For Tumour Recurrence On FET-PET/MRI

Case History:

43 year old male with Left Tempo GBM (WHO Gr IV), Post-op 19/12/13. Post RT and concurrent Chemo + adjuvant TMZ 6# till Aug 2014. Interval appearance of new enhancing (<1.5 cm) lesion in the tumor bed. Underwent FET PET/MRI.

Findings:

FET PET/MRI (17/5/16) Post-contrast T1W images of the brain (B) and corresponding PET/MRI fused images (C) reveal a FET avid enhancing lesion in the operated bed ( arrow) with increased perfusion(D, arrow) diffusion restriction (E) suspicious for tumor recurrence.

Case Study Prepared by:

This short PET-MRI Scan case was compiled by Dr. Sangeeta Taneja and Dr. Amarnath Jena (Nuclear Medicine Physician at PET-Suite @ Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Sarita Vihar).
